Caring Response in Times of Public Health Concerns

Out of love and concern for the community and world, St. Luke’s Church Council voted last night to suspend church worship and other activities through Tuesday, April 14 at which time the Church Council will appraise the situation. The church office will be closed and all community activities that take place at the church site will be suspended for the same period of time.

This action comes at the urging of our Bishop and the realization that it is literally a matter of life and death that we refrain from gathering at this time. The Church, however, is not defined by our gatherings. We are God’s people, trusting in Him and sharing His love whether we are together or apart.

Let us pray. Dear Lord, guide us through this time of trial to trust in you and share your love. Keep us close together in that love even as we are apart. Shine your light of love through us in our words and deeds that others may know your love and trust in you. Amen.

Bible passages to claim and share: 1 John 4:18, 1 Peter 5:7, Isaiah 43:1-5.

We will record video worship, including and Holy Week services, and post it on our website. Check back March 29.
